JAMMU, July 22: Senior Bahujan Samaj Party leader Shashi Bhushan Thappa was expelled from the party today for “violating” the party line and alleged anti-party activities.
The decision in this regard was taken during an emergency meeting of BSP Jammu District Unit leaders held under the leadership of Tarsem Lal, district president, Jammu.
In a handout issued, the party said, “Shashi Bhushan Thappa, R/o Village Jagpur, P. O Jakh, Tehsil, Samba, was found to have indulged in anti- party activities in the recent past.”
“The party as well as the BSP Jammu district office has nothing to do with Thapa,” the handout added.
