KISHTWAR, July 22: District Magistrate Kishtwar, Pankaj Kumar Sharma here today issued detention orders under J&K Public Safety Act (PSA), 1978 against two individuals involved in multiple cases of burglary.
These thieves were Mohammad Rizwan, son of Altaf Hussain, resident of Gurian, Tehsil & District Kishtwar and Rahul Singh Chib, son of Gopal Singh Chib alias Magar Singh, resident of Himachal Pradesh, presently near TRC Kishtwar.
After examining the dossiers submitted by the sponsoring authority, the District Magistrate observed that both the individuals were consistently involved in antisocial activities, particularly theft and burglary, across the district and a number of FIRs were registered against them.
The District Magistrate found their actions to be prejudicial to the maintenance of public order and ordered their detention under PSA to prevent them from continuing such activities and to ensure the safety and security of the public.
The District Magistrate stated: “No element involved in unlawful or disruptive activities will be allowed to create hindrance in peaceful environment of the district.”
