Two children killed in mortar  blast in Pak’s Khyber Pakhtunkhwa

PESHAWAR, July 22:  Two children were killed in a mortar explosion while on their way to a religious seminary in Pakistan’s Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province on Tuesday, as per local sources.
  The victims Arafat and Amir, both around six to seven years old, belonged to the Mehsud tribe in Raghza village, located in the jurisdiction of Gomal Bazaar Police Station in Tank district of northwest Pakistan, sources said.
The victims were carrying tea for their teacher when the blast occurred, they added.
The bodies of the victims were taken to the District Headquarters Hospital in Tank.
Authorities have launched an operation to further investigate the incident.
No group has claimed responsibility for the explosion so far.  (PTI)
