JAMMU, July 21: Durga Nag Trust (DNT) in a meeting here, today has taken serious exception to the unruly scenes created by some individuals with vested interests outside the residence of former Chief Secretary and president of the Trust, Vijay Bakaya at Tawi Vihar Sidhra yesterday.
The meeting which was chaired by Vijay Bakaya said that these hoodlums with some ulterior motives shouted slogans and used unparliamentarily and derogatory language to tarnish the image of well meaning people in the society. Their act caused panic and sensation in the colony in which Vijay Bakaya is residing, a handout issued by the Trust said.
The meeting said that it has become a routine affair for these people to humiliate and harass the people including the office bearers of Temple Committees with Government and administration looking as a mute spectator. The act of such people tantamount to lawlessness and a free for all affair under the very nose of administration. The Trust said that these hoodlums are trying to cause damage to the image of trustees as well of members of Mandir Committees who worked under difficult circumstances during turmoil in Kashmir for development of temples and shrines.
The meeting said that in case the Government fails to act against such hoodlums the survival of peace loving and law abiding people will be difficult.
