JAMMU, July 20: An alleged drug peddler was arrested with 2.317 kilograms of ganja and an i-Phone from Janipur area here today.
Acting on specific information, one Akash of Odisha at present Roop Nagar, was arrested with 2.317 kilograms of ganja, an i-Phone, and a weighing machine from Lakkar Mandi area near Depot by a team of District Special Branch (DSB) in coordination with Jammu and Kashmir Police, a police official said.
He said the accused was accordingly booked in case FIR number 106/2025 under the relevant sections of the NDPS Act and further investigation taken up.
The arrest was made by a Police team headed by SHO Janipur Insp Vikram Sharma.
