UDHAMPUR, July 20: In an apparent case of suicide, a youth was found hanging from a tree in Battal area under the jurisdiction of Majalta Police Station.
Reports said that Ramesh Kumar alias Gilu (27), son of Soni Ram, resident of Baryalta, Majalta Tehsil, was found hanging from a tree in Battal forest area under mysterious circumstances.
On being informed by some locals, who spotted the body, a Police team led by SHO Majalta Sohan Singh rushed to the spot and shifted the body to PHC Majalta for the postmortem.
According to the locals, the deceased got married on 12th July and some family issue is suspected to be cause of apparent suicide. Majalta Police have registered a case in this connection and started investigation.
