Yuva Rajput Sabha to soon appoint new president

JAMMU, July 11: Following purported resignation by the incumbent president Vikram Singh, Yuva Rajput Sabha will soon elect its new head and State body with the consensus of all.
This was stated by Yuva Rajput Sabha Chairman Raghuvir Singh, while addressing a press conference along with the chief patron Rajinder Singh, president Vikram Singh Vicky and other executive members of YRS, here today.
“The Sabha has accepted the resignation of Vikram Singh who has completed his tenure of two years for the post and till the new President is appointed, he will function as working President of YRS,” said Raghuvir Singh.
Pertinent to mention that YRS was formed in 2012 and tenure of its President is two years. First President of the Sabha was Surinder Singh Gilli, who was succeeded by Rajveer Singh, then again Surinder Singh Gilli, then Rajan Singh Happy and the incumbent Vikram Singh Vicky who has completed his tenure of two years.
Raghuvir Singh also said that Vikram Singh performed his duties as president of the Sabha very efficiently during his tenure and after Maharaja Hari Singh ji’s birthday was declared a holiday, he gave voice to all the issues of Jammu region.
Vikram Singh also spoke on the occasion and said that he was proud of the responsibility that the Sabha had placed on him two years ago by trusting him and the thoughts and trust that the people of Jammu had shown on me.
Rajinder Singh Manhas, while addressing the media, said that YRS will appoint a new President and new State Body in the coming time without any bias and the new President will be elected with the consensus of all.
Former President Rajan Singh Happy said that YRS will continue to raise its voice for the Dogras of Jammu and every struggle will be taken to logical conclusion in the coming time.
