JAMMU, July 11: A delegation from Katra, district Reasi of Jammu region today met with Dr Karan Singh, former Sadr-e-Riyasat of J&K and submitted a memorandum requesting that the proposed site for the Vaishno Devi ropeway be shifted to an alternate location along the traditional route.
The delegation expressed concern that the current plan would severely impact the livelihoods of several lakh people who depend on the existing path.
