JAMMU, July 7: Keeping in view Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra and recent inputs/ threats, a mock drill was conducted at static guard Ravi Bridge Lakhanpur in the jurisdiction of PS GRP Kathua.
During mock drill, teams of PS GRP Kathua, PP GRP Budhi , PP GRP Chann Arrorian, PP GRP Hiranagar, PP GRP Samba, RPF Kathua, GRP Pathankot Punjab, RPF Pathankot Punjab, AST GRP Pathankot Punjab, SOG Hiranagar, CRPF 121Bn Hiranagar, IRP 19th Bn, PS Lakhanpur, SDRF Kathua, Dog Squad GRP Kathua, medical team of PHC Lakhanpur Kathua, Fire and Emergency Service Kathua, EMIC Kathua and Photographers GRP Kathua/ Jammu participated in the mock drill demonstration.
The mock drill was conducted as per recently issued contigency plan. All the teams were briefed/ rebriefed & debriefed during pre and post demonstrations. The said mock drill started at 1710 hours and concluded at 1810 hours successfully. The total 130 participants including officers/ officials participated in the mock drill.
Due to the active participation of GRP/ RPF Pathankot Punjab in the mock drill, coordination, team spirit among participating sister agencies increased and all the forces are ready to response in any situation.
