SRINAGAR, July 6: To observe its foundation day, Writers Guidance Council (WGC) led by Kashmiri doctor and columnist Dr Tasaduk Hussain Itoo – organized a webinar here today with the title “Book and Article writing”.
The webinar was organized under the “Writers Guidance Programme” with a prime objective to guide authors and writers. The programme was anchored and moderated by Faheem Ul Islam (published author cum public speaker).
While inaugurating the session, Dr Tasaduk Hussain Itoo put a brief overview of WGC mission and vision with its prime aims and objectives.
Dr Itoo emphasized that the mission of WGC is to empower writers by providing them guidance, support, and mentorship to help them improve their craft. “By offering mentorship webinars, workshops, and other initiatives, our goal is to create an environment where writers can thrive and reach their full potential.”, he said.
The chief cpeaker on the occasion was Dr Awdhesh K Singh (founder of Awdhesh Academy and ex-IRS officer). Speaking on the occasion, Dr Awdhesh emphasized the importance of having a clear direction and intention behind writing a book. He stressed that understanding the purpose, setting clear objectives, and identifying the target audience are crucial for creating effective content.
Abrar Ul Mustafa (noted writer cum columnist) delivered a detailed talk on topic titled “Writing an article in a newspaper”. He emphasized the importance of choosing a relevant and timely topic, conducting thorough research, and structuring the article in a clear and concise manner.
The webinar was followed with a question-answer session following each talk from the participants, wherein the speakers answered their questions.
The webinar concluded with vote of thanks presented by Faheem Ul Islam.
