ANANTNAG, July 4: The annual Moorti Pratishthan Diwas of Mata Uma Bhagwati at Umanagri Brariangan of tehsil Shangus in district Anantnag was celebrated with relgious fervour and gaiety.
In this connection a Maha Yagnya was solemnized by Uma BhagwatiAsthapan Trust which was attended by a large number of people drawn from across the country. A large number of devotees from outside KP community also attended the event. The Hawan which started on 2nd of July with Kalash Pooja and Vedic hymns recited by a learned Kashmiri pandit which culminated with PuranAahuti today. Prasad was served to the devotees till late night. Bhajan kirtan was also held in the Asthapan during the consecutive days of the programme organised by a local KP group with the support of UBAT management.
The morning and evening Samuhik Aarti of Mata Uma Bhagwati was being chanted daily in the temple to get blessings of Mata. The Asthapan Trust had made all necessary arrangements well in advance for the visiting devotees.
All arrangements sponsored by the Deputy Commissioner Anantnag and Sr. Superintendent of Police were to the entire satisfaction of the yatries.
