KATHUA, July 12: Three motorcyclists were crushed to death by a speedy truck on Jammu-Pathankote National Highway at Chapper Morh, 40 kms from here this evening.
The trio have been identified as Robin S/o Raj Messiah, his niece Surti and nephew Abi children of Pawan Kumar of Jammu.
The trio were on their way from Kathua to Jammu when the mishap took place.
According to reports the motor cycle skidded off the road when a speedy vehicle over took it and all the three persons who fell down on the road were crushed to death by a speedy truck bearing number JK 13 A-3097. The truck which was also coming in the same direction was on its way to Srinagar in Kashmir Valley.
The driver of truck Ghulam Mohammed was arrested by police and a case under Section 304 was registered against him. The dead bodies have been kept in mortuary of Hiranagar Sub District Hospital for postmortem which will be conducted tomorrow. The bodies will be handed over to family tomorrow after postmortem for last rites.
