UDHAMPUR, June 30: Police foiled an attempt of bovine smuggling in Panchari and rescued 12 bovines besides arresting the alleged smuggler.
Police team of Police Station Panchari, led by SHO, Parshotam Kumar intercepted the accused, who was taking these bovines on foot towards Kashmir without valid permission.
Police rescued all the bovines and arrested the alleged smuggler, identified as Mohd. Hanief, son of Dulla, resident of Panjar. In this regard, case FIR No. 31/2025 under relevant sections of law has been registered at Police Station Panchari.
