SRINAGAR, June 27: Newly appointed Chairman of the Kissan Congress of Jammu and Kashmir Pradesh Congress, led a delegation to visiting AICC General Secretary Incharge J&K & Ladakh Affairs Dr Sayeed Naseer Hussain and apprised him of the main issues of farming community in J&K.
The delegation apprised the AICC General Secretary about the issues faced by the farmers in Jammu and Kashmir due to alleged anti farmers policies of Central Government. The promise of legal guarantee for MSP as per Swaminathan recommendations, besides timely supply of quality seeds and fertilizer , exemption of GST on the agricultural equipments and machinery, waiving off KCC loans, recovery of arrears of irrigation tax waived off by Government, subsidized power to farmers for agricultural activities and other issues were raised by the delegation.
The AICC General Secretary listened to the demands of the Kissan Congress and assured full support to the genuine demands of farming community, who are back bone of the nation & entire society. He advised Kissan Congress to forcefully raise the genuine issues of farming community from time to time.
Other prominent members of the delegation included Syed Haroon, Peer Abid, Faizan, Adil Wani, Umar Mushtaq and Fayaz Lone.
