Pathak, Pole get key postings in Delhi

JAMMU, June 26: Two senior IAS officers of the erstwhile Jammu & Kashmir cadre, Bipul Pathak and Pandurang K Pole, have been assigned significant responsibilities in the Government of National Capital Territory of Delhi (GNCTD).

As per an order issued today by the office of the Lt Governor of Delhi, Bipul Pathak, a seasoned bureaucrat from the erstwhile J&K cadre, who is presently serving as Additional Chief Secretary (Industries) and holding additional charge of Additional Chief Secretary (Environment & Forests), has been transferred and appointed as Additional Chief Secretary (Finance & Planning). In addition, he will continue to hold the charges of Additional Chief Secretary (Industries) and Chairman of the Delhi State Industrial and Infrastructure Development Corporation (DSIIDC).
Another senior IAS officer from the same cadre, Pandurang K Pole, currently serving as Secretary (Higher Education and Technical Training Education) in Delhi, has been given the additional charge of Secretary (Urban Development). The new assignment will take effect from July 1, 2025.
Both officers have previously held important posts in the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir and are known for their administrative acumen.
Meanwhile, several other key postings were also announced. IAS officer Prashant Goyal, who had earlier served in J&K as Finance Secretary, has been appointed as Financial Commissioner in Delhi with effect from July 1, 2025, following the superannuation of senior IAS officer Chetan B Sanghi. Goyal is currently the Additional Chief Secretary (Urban Development) and holds additional charge of Chairperson, State Resource Development Council (SRDC).
The Order also mentions the posting of IAS officers joining GNCTD from other UTs and States, including Sandeep Kumar (from Lakshadweep), A Nedunchezhiyan (from Puducherry), Arun Kumar Mishra (from Goa), and Suneel Anchipaka (also from Goa), who have been allotted various administrative roles in Delhi.
