UDHAMPUR, June 21: Sonika Sharma’s new poetry book in Hindi for children, titled’ Meethe Raseele Phal’ (Sweet Juicy Fruits) and dedicated to children, was released today by eminent writer, historian and Padma Shri awardee Professor Shiv Nirmohi.
In this connection, a simple but impressive function was organised at Udhampur, which among others was attended by well known writer and noted archaeologist Anil Paba, writer and poet Ashok Sharma, famous academician Bharat Bhushan, Anusuya Rani and others.
Prof Nirmohi appreciated Sonika Sharma for her hard work and versatile talent as a result of which she has so far published six books and hoped that she would follow her passion with more vigour and write more books.
On this occasion, Anil Paba and Ashok Sharma appreciated the works of Sonika Sharma and said that the book sends the valuable message that children should prefer fruit for their nutritional value and avoid fast food for their good health. They wished the writer a bright future.
Bharat Bhushan appreciated the new book and hoped that it would serve as a valuable addition to children’s literature.
