JAMMU, June 20: Senior BJP leader and former Deputy Mayor, Baldev Singh Billawaria here today visited the many Wards of Jammu city and reviewed the drain cleaning work of Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC).
Speaking on the occasion, Billawaria said that this time almost all the nallahs have been cleaned.
He reviewed the drain cleaning work with JMC officials and asked them to run the drain cleaning campaign in proper manner.
The BJP leader further said that the monsoon is about to arrive in Jammu and all the former JMC Councillors are working together with the officials so that the people of Jammu city do not face water-logging problem.
He emphasised that cleanliness is the responsibility of every citizen and urged the people to use dustbins to dispose-off the garbage and keep the environment clean.
Billawaria said that under no circumstances should the garbage be thrown in deep drains.
