8 bovines rescued, 2 held

JAMMU, July 8: Police rescued eight bovine animals and arrested two smugglers in two different incidents.
As per police sources, on specific inputs, police party from Ramban police station laid a naka and intercepted a Tata mobile bearing registration number JK03B-1846.
During checking, 6 bovine animals were rescued and driver of the vehicle identified as Younus Mohammad, son of Mohammad Akbar of Awantipora, Kashmir was arrested on the spot.
A case under FIR No 85/14 under Section 188 RPC and 3 PCA Act has been registered at Police Station Ramban and investigation started.
Police team headed by SHO Inspector DS Katoch made the arrest under the supervision of Narinder Singh Parihar, DySP Headquarters Ramban and Javed Iqbal Matoo, SP, Ramban.
In another incident, police party from Police Station Rehambal led by Inspector OP Chib laid a naka near Flata on Jammu-Srinagar National Highway and intercepted a Tata mobile bearing registration number JK02BD-3591.
Police rescued two bovine animals and arrested the smuggler Mohammad Marin, son of Mohammad Hussan.
A case under Section 188 RPC and 3 PCA Act has been registered at Police Station Rehambal and further investigation into the case is going on.
