RAJOURI, June 19: Police arrested drug peddler from Darhal and recovered 06 grams of heroin like substance from his posession.
Reports said that a team from Police Station Darhal, led by Inspector Shabir Kohli, apprehended the drug peddler during routine checking at a Naka laid at Badi Darhal this evening.
Upon conducting a personal search, approximately six grams of heroin-like substance was recovered from his possession The accused has been identified as Mohd Latief, son of Mohd Azam, resident of Hiltak Darhal Rajouri
In this connection a case has been registered under NDPS Act at Police Station Darhal and further investigation has been initiated. Efforts were underway to trace both forward and backward linkages of the drug network to dismantle the entire chain involved in the illegal trade.
