JAMMU, June 19: Shiv Sena here today celebrated its 59th Foundation Day.
In this connection, a programme was organised at Bhagwati Nagar where Shiv Sena Rajya Pramukh, Ashwani Gupta lead party workers to pay rich tribute to the founding father of the party, Balasaheb Thakrey. Gupta urged the party workers to carry forward the vision and mission of Balasaheb.
Party functionaries who attended the celebration included Rakesh Kak, State general secretary, Sanjay Bhat, State secretary (org)/in-charge Kashmir Division, Ramesh Koul, State secretary, Sanjeev Sudan, district head R.S Pura, Manohar Lal, Sunil Sharma and many more.
Similar functions were also organised at all the district offices of Shiv Sena like Srinagar, Anantnag, Ganderbal, Baramulla, Udhampur, Reasi, Rajouri, Kishtwar, Akhnoor, Sopore and Kupwara.
A handout stated that on June 19, 1966, Balasaheb laid the foundation of Shiv Sena at Mumbai.
