LEH, July 8: The GOC-in-C, Northern Command, Lt Gen D S Hooda today conferred his Commendation Card along with appreciation citation upon the Deputy Commissioner, Leh, Simrandeep Singh, in a special function organized by the 14 Corps Headquarters here.
The honour was given to the Deputy Commissioner on account of his contribution towards maintaining extremely cordial civil-military relations in the strategically important Ladakh region along with taking proactive steps towards solving long pending issues related to civil-military interface in Leh district.
Among others, Superintendent of Police, Leh Dr Sunil Gupta and DySP CID Dechan Sonam were also awarded for their meritorious service.
Lt Gen B S Negi, GOC 14 Corps and Maj Gen N S Rao, Chief of Staff, 14 Corps were among the senior officers present on the occasion.
