Hike in Medical Allowance among demands raised by NMC

JAMMU, June 18: National Mazdoor Conference (NMC) president, Subash Shastri has demanded increase in monthly Medical Allowance of pensioners from the existing Rs. 300 to Rs. 1000.
Addressing a meeting of NMC workers here today Shastri said that the current Medical Allowance of Rs. 300 is there for the last over two decades despite the steep rise in cost of medicines and other medical expenses.
He also demanded two per cent hike in HRA for J&K employees as the DA has already crossed 50 per cent threshold.
The NMC leader further demanded the release of pending DA arrears of 18 months from January to June 2021 stating that three instalments were withheld during the period.
Regularization of all daily rated workers under SRO 64 was another demand raised by Shastri.
Rajan Babu Khajuria, B.S Jamwal, Surinder Kumar, Ramesh Sharma, Ram Singh, Chaman Lal, Tarsem Sharma, Vijay Bhagat, Shail Singh, Angrej Singh, Darshan Bawa, Sukhdev Singh, Vinod, Kamal Bhagat, Birbal Sharma, Ram Lal, Rampaul Sharma, Dalip Bhagat, Harbans Lal, Anil Gupta, Rajnish Kapoor and others were also present in the meeting.
