JAMMU, June 16: Nami Dogri Sanstha (NDS) here today released book of Pangotra Mangal Dass Dogra titled ‘Dogras Killed Alexander At Salal (Reasi), Jammu’.
The book release function was presided over by Padam Shree Jatinder Udhampuri, Sahitya Academy Awardee and former Director AIR whereas, Col. Varinder Kumar Sahi Vr.C and Director War Decorated India J&K and Ladakh Chapter was chief guest.
Prof. Nirmal Kamal, former HoD Economics at Jammu University was guest of honour and Nidhi Sharma Dogra, president Dogra Samaj Trust Mumbai was special guest. Dogra Harish Kaila, president NDS co-shared.
Yash Pal Yàsh, general secretary NDS conducted the proceedings. Prof. Lalit Gupta carried out detailed review of the book.
Capt Lalit Sharma, convener NDS observed that the author has laid various bench marks for young historians to further work in various areas to reach to the absolute truth of history regarding Alexander in Duggar Land.
Om Arsh Dalmotra, president Adbi Kunj Jammu, Nidhi Dogra Sharma, Prof. Nirmal Kamal and Prof. Anupama Sharma, patron NDS also spoke on the occasion.
Col Vainder Kumar Sahi said that Dogras are a brave, considerate and versatile race which has repeatedly been proved.
Vote of thanks was extended by Wg Cdr Nirmal Kumar ‘Nimbal’, secretary NDS.
