LEH, June 16: The Lieutenant Governor of the Union Territory of Ladakh has appointed Dr Shiv Darshan Singh Jamwal, Director General of Police, as the Controlling Authority under the Private Security Agencies (Regulation) Act, 2005.
“In exercise of the power conferred by sub-section (1) of section 3 of the Private Security Agencies (Regulation) Act 2005 (Act No 29 of 2005) and in suppression of SO 23 dated June 4, 2024, the Lieutenant Governor, Union Territory of Ladakh hereby designates Dr Shiv Darshan Singh Jamwal, Director General of Police, UT of Ladakh, as the Controlling Authority for the purpose of the act,” read an order issued by Dr Pawan Kotwal, Chief Secretary/ Administrative Secretary Home Department.
