ANANTNAG, July 7: The joint market checking squad comprising of officers of Municipal Committee, Kulgam, Revenue Department, Food and Safety Department and CA&PD headed by Tehsildar Kulgam conducted market checking at Kulgam today.
During the inspection, 27 kgs of banned polythene was seized, 03 quintals of rotten fruit and vegetables and 20 kgs of junk food were destroyed besides Rs. 3900 was recovered as fine from the defaulters. The seized polythene has been shredded on the spot.
