RAJOURI, June 13: In a focused effort to enforce traffic regulations and promote road safety, the police seized three vehicles and challaned 15 in Thannamandi area of Rajouri district.
Reports said a special naka was laid in Thannamandi by DySP (Probationer) Ahtesham Ahmed Khan, SHO Police Station Thannamandi and during this exercise a thorough checking of vehicles was carried out, targeting violations related to documentation and compliance with provisions of the Motor Vehicles Act.
As a result of the drive, a total of 15 vehicles, including both two-wheelers and four-wheelers, were challaned for failing to produce proper and valid documents. In addition to the challans, three vehicles were seized on the spot for gross violations.
The seized vehicles include an Ecco passenger bearing registration number JK11G-8570, a Tempo Traveller bearing number JK14A-7002, and a motorcycle with registration number JK11F-0879.
