JAMMU, July 5: Kashmiri Pandit Sabha, Ambphalla today organized a function to felicitate the meritorious class 12th students of displaced Kashmiri Pandit community.
The function was presided over by Pandit KK Khosa while Kiran Wattal, Commissioner, Jammu Municipal Corporation, graced the occasion as chief guest.
The function started with welcome address by Sabha general secretary SL Bagati, who gave a brief about Sabha, its activities and role in social transformation.
In all 15 students (10 from general category and 5 from camp schools) were felicitated by giving cash prizes and certificates of merit.
Chief guest, Kiran Wattal, while speaking on the occasion, asked the students to get connected with their roots by speaking in their mother tongue and imbibe Kashmiri culture in them. He also asked the students to opt for administration services.
KK Khosa in his address exhorted upon the students to work hard in their new fields to brighten their future and assured them of every help. He also said that the Sabha will continue to help deserving students of the community particularly belonging to weaker sections.
Senior vice-president, KP Sabha, AK Braroo cautioned the students not to get carried away in new social environment and remain engrossed with roots of their own culture.
The function concluded with vote of thanks by AK Braroo.
