JAMMU, June 9: J&K BJP vice-president and MLA Jammu North, Sham Lal Sharma along with MLA Akhnoor Mohan Lal Bhagat flayed the erratic power supply in areas with 100 percent metered connections and called it unacceptable during the ongoing severe heat wave.
The BJP leaders urged the government to provide at least 80 per cent power supply in metered areas stressing that uninterrupted power in fully metered areas is a basic and justified expectation.
They were speaking during a Public Darbar at BJP Headquarters, Trikuta Nagar where deputation from Vikram Nagar Sarwal, Thara Kalwal Billawar, Gandhi Nagar, Last Morh, Sanjay Nagar, Upper Thathar Bantalab, Shiv Nagar, Mera Mandrian Akhnoor, Bhatindi and other areas visited them with issues of bad roads, electricity outages and billing disputes, blocked drains, lack of water connections, faulty electric poles etc.
Both leaders listened to the public concerns and emphasized the need for swift and time-bound resolution of all genuine grievances.
Sham Lal Sharma emphasized that it is the fundamental responsibility of the government and the administration to take all necessary steps to improve the quality of life for the people.
He further reiterated BJP’s unwavering commitment to public service that extends far beyond election cycles.
Mohan Lal Bhagat affirmed that the party is dedicated to serve the needy, ensuring that the benefits of development and welfare schemes under the Modi government reaches to the last person.
