JAMMU, June 7: Senior BJP leader and MLA Jammu West, Arvind Gupta today started the much-awaited blacktopping work at the Government Medical College (GMC), Bakshi Nagar. The project, which has been undertaken by the Public Works Department (PWD), comes at an estimated cost of Rs 1.20 crore and aims to improve the road infrastructure and ensure seamless vehicular movement around the busy medical hub.
Speaking on the occasion, Arvind Gupta said that the development of critical infrastructure, especially around essential service institutions like GMC, remains a top priority of the BJP Government. “Improved roads mean better access for ambulances, patients, doctors, and the general public. We are committed to ensuring that Jammu West continues to witness planned and people-centric development,” he stated.
Arvind Gupta assured that several other development projects are in the pipeline and will soon be executed to enhance civic amenities in Jammu West. He also appreciated the efforts of the executing agency for initiating the work on priority and urged them to maintain high quality standards.
The MLA further reiterated his commitment to ensuring time-bound completion of all ongoing development works in the constituency. He emphasized that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the BJP remains dedicated to strengthening basic infrastructure and uplifting the standard of living for every citizen of Jammu West.
