JAMMU, June 4: Four individuals were arrested for their alleged involvement in an attack on a District Gurudwara Prabandhak Committee (DGPC) member in Miran Sahib area, officials said.
On May 25, Sardar Gurmeet Singh Tony was attacked by some miscreants at Phinder area of Miran Sahib, resulting in severe injuries to the former, they said.
Taking cognisance of the matter, officials said, a case FIR number 70/2025 under sections 109/191(2)/191(3) BNS and 4/25 Arms Act was registered at Police Station Miran Sahib and investigation set into motion.
During investigation, several teams of Miran Sahib Police Station led by PSI Ajesh Singh Jamwal and PSI Yasar Arafat, ASI Fayaz Ahmed under the leadership of SHO Miran Sahib Inspector Jai Paul Sharma conducted multiple raids and apprehended four accused, they said.
They identified them as Mohan Singh alias Goga of Khour Deonian, tehsil RS Pura at present Rakh Balahi Patli Morh, tehsil Bari Brahamana, Samba, Sandeep Singh alias Shotu of Deonian, Miran Sahib, Sohan Singh of Khour Deonian, RS Pura, and Billa Singh of Khour Deonian, RS Pura.
Pertinently, the entire operation to arrest the accused was supervised by SDPO RS Pura and SP Headquarters.
