UDHAMPUR, June 1: Monthly meeting of Jammu Kashmir Teachers’ Joint Action Committee (JKTJAC) was held here today under the leadership of district president Lekh Raj Parihar.
Speaking on the occasion, Lekh Raj Parihar raised the burning issues of the teaching community and appealed the Government to resolve them amicably for the welfare of thousands of these teachers, especially the teachers appointed under ReT scheme.
The issues raised included; comprehensive transfer policy in favour of teachers appointed under ReT scheme, Old Pension Scheme in favour of employees appointed on or after 01.01.2010, release of MDM dues of 7 to 8 months, regularisation of left out ReTs and conversion of RRETs to Teachers Grade II/ III, DPC of Teachers to Masters to clear the backlog and conversion of Headteachers posts into non plan posts of Masters to resolve the salary issue.
Ashok Seth, Pritam Goswami, Ravinder Singh Rathore, Rakesh Singh, Jagdish Chander Sharma, Suresh Sharma, Shamsher Singh, Ranjit Singh, Sandeep Sharma, Sham Singh, Anil Sharma and others also spoke in the meeting.
