BHADERWAH, June 1: The revered Mindhal Mata Chandi Yatra commenced here today with spiritual fervour and participation by thousands of devotees from across J&K.
Organized by Aadi Shakti Devi Chandike Sewak Sanstha (ASDCSS) Doda, the Yatra marks the sacred journey from Maa Chandi Mandir Balasu, Doda to the holy shrine at Mindhal in Himachal Pradesh.
The holy Chharri Mubarak was flagged off today from Doda by ADC Doda, Anil Kotwal, in the presence of religious leaders and hundreds of pilgrims.
The Chharri is being led by Pyar Singh Ji, Maa Sewak and chief patron of the Sanstha, under the guidance of Prof. D.S Manhas, president ASDCSS.
Yatra schedule includes night halts at key spiritual locations including Gauri Shanker Mandir, Kishtwar. Thousands of Yatris are part of this divine journey and they are being provided with Langar, medical facilities, and all necessary amenities by the Sanstha in collaboration with various regional langer committees and temple trusts.
District Administration Doda, in coordination with the Sanstha and local stakeholders has made elaborate arrangements to ensure the safe and smooth Yatra. The contribution of the civil and Police administration has been widely appreciated by the pilgrims.
The six-day spiritual journey will culminate at the Mindhal Mata Temple in Himachal Pradesh on June 6, 2025, with final darshan and religious rituals being performed at the sacred shrine.
This Yatra is also a symbol of the rich cultural and religious heritage of the region.
