7 bovine animals rescued, one held

RAJOURI, May 31: In a crackdown on illegal bovine smuggling, Nowshera Police foiled a smuggling attempt during last night and seized seven cattle.
Reports said acting on reliable inputs a special naka was laid at Garn Morh, Rajal by a team from Nowshera Police Station, led by Station House Officer (SHO) Inspector Arjun Magotra, under the supervision of SDPO Nowshera Sahil Mahajan.
During the operation, a Tata Mobile vehicle (Registration No. JK02BW-6157) was intercepted. Upon checking seven bovine animals were found mercilessly loaded in the vehicle. One person involved in the illegal act was arrested on the spot. A case FIR No. 70/2025 has been registered against him.
