JAMMU, May 30: A 14-year-old boy ended his life by hanging himself from the ceiling fan at his residence here at Sant Nagar area of the District.
Harlive Singh son of Gurdev Singh of Rani Bagh, Sant Nagar, Gadigarh, Jammu, was found hanging from the ceiling fan at his home, a police official said.
After getting information, a police team reached at the spot and shifted the body to the mortuary of the Government Medical College Jammu for conducting the post-mortem examination, he said.
After post-mortem, the body was handed over to its legal heirs, he added.
Meanwhile, police have initiated inquest proceedings under section 194 BNSS to ascertain the reasons as to why the teenager ended his life.
