KISHTWAR, May 27: One man lost his life while four others were injured when a car they were travelling-in veered off the road and landed on TRC road below in mountainous Kishtwar district here today.

The ill fated car bearing registration number JK17A 8880 was coming from Kishtwar and the accident took place at Kishtwar-Sinthan National Highway in Mughal Maidan area leaving all the five persons onboard injured.
Immediately after the accident, locals of the area and cops shifted the injured to District Hospital Kishtwar but one of the injured succumbed en-route.
The deceased was identified as Umair Yaseen, son of Mohd Yaseen, resident of Sigdi Bhata.
Being critical, the injured Waseem Ahmed, son of Irshad Ahmed Bawani, resident of Sigdi Bhata was referred to GMC Srinagar for specialised treatment.
Other injured were identified as Aqib Yaseen, son of Mohd Yaseen, resident of Sigdi Bhata; Numan Najar, son of Sameer Ahmed, resident of Shakti Nagar Kishtwar and Mohd Shanib, son of Sajjad Hussain resident of Sangrambhata, Kishtwar.
Chatroo Police has registered a case in this regard and started investigation.
