Samba police arrests 3 bike lifters, recovers stolen vehicles

SAMBA, May 20: Samba Police has arrested three bike lifters in three different theft cases registered at Police Station (PS), Bari Brahmana and recovered 13 stolen two wheelers and one car from their possession.
Police said during the investigation of case FIR No. 105/2024 U/S 303(2) BNS, FIR No. 65/2025 U/S 303(2) BNS & FIR No. 71/2025 U/S 303(2) BNS registered at PS Bari Brahmana, a police team headed by SHO Bari Brahmana has arrested three accused after hectic efforts who upon sustained questioning confessed their involvement in the theft cases.
The arrested accused have been identified as Ayoub Ahmed, son of Shammasd Din of Teli Basti, Bari Brahmana, Saraj Din, son of Noor Ali of Majua, tehsil Bishnah district Jammu and Gurcharan Lal, son of Om Parkash of Tindey Kalan tehsil RS Pura district Jammu, police said. On their disclosure three stolen bikes including Bajaj Pulsar Number JK21E-7523, Bullet Motorcycle No. JK21E-1387 and Motorcycle Passion No. JK21A-6342 have been recovered.
Further on thorough questioning, 10 two wheelers and one car were also recovered and seized under section 106 BNSS which included
Maruti 800 Alto No. JK21A-6660, eight motor cycles and one scooty.
Police said further investigation is going on.
