LEH, May 19: The Chairman/CEC,LAHDC Leh, Adv. Tashi Gyalson inaugurated and flagged off the SIDCO transportation bus service for the Singay Lalok region, covering areas such as Lalok, Neyraks, Photoksar, Lingshed, and Yulchung.
The bus service has been introduced in response to the transportation challenges faced by residents of these remote villages.
During the event, the CEC stated that efforts are underway to assess passenger demand, and the frequency of the bus service will be adjusted based on viability and requirements.
Present at the flagging-off ceremony were the ADDC/Senior Manager SIDCO Transport, Sonam Nurboo; SIDCO Incharge depot, and representatives from the villages of the Singay Lalok area. The initiative is expected to significantly ease travel difficulties and improve connectivity in the region.
