JAMMU, May 18: To extend support to displaced and underprivileged families from the border areas affected during Indo-Pak tensions, Shiromani Sant Kabir Bhawan Committee (SSKBC), in collaboration with Kelley Memorial Society (NGO), organized an outreach programme, here today.
During the programme, families from Jabowal, Rangpur Treva, Chak Gourian, Kotla, Kotli Bagbana, Pindi Charkan and Allah were invited to share the ongoing hardships they face due to migration most of them being poor widowed households.
On the occasion, F C Bhagat, chairman of SSKBC along with Dr Abu Adil, director, Kelley Memorial Society (NGO) distributed over 50 grocery kits containing essentials like rice, atta, sugar, tea, edible oil, salt and other daily-use items among these families.
The event was graced by several distinguished personalities including, G R Bhagat, Dr Kingjay Koul, Dr Neeru Bhagat, Vipan Kumar, Dr Gurdas Bhagat, Manohar Lal, Chaman Lal, Ravi Kumar, Bodh Raj, Dev Raj, Lal Bhagat and Jagdish Lal.
