R S PURA, May 17: Advocate Deepak Sharma has been elected as the President of Bar Association RS Pura, defeating his rival by a margin of 22 votes.
According to Returning Officer Adv Ravinder Singh Charak, out of 69 total votes, 64 votes were polled, with Advocate Deepak Sharma securing 41 votes and his rival, Sanjeev Thakyal, securing 23 votes.
For the post of Secretary, Rohit Choudhary was declared elected with 45 votes, defeating Dheeraj Raina (11 votes) and Rajat Sharma (8 votes). For the Vice President’s post, Amit Behlam was elected with 47 votes, while opponent Paramjit Singh secured 17 votes. Sachin Raina was elected unopposed as the Cashier of the Bar Association RS Pura.
President Deepak Sharma assured that he would highlight all issues affecting the Bar and ensure justice at for those who approach the Bar. He emphasized the Bar’s commitment to supporting genuine issues and ensuring justice for financially weak and marginalized sections of society.
He reiterated that the Bar will prioritize addressing grievances and ensuring justice for all, with a special focus on supporting weaker sections of society.
