JKPCC chief, others pay tribute to ADDC Thapa

JAMMU, May 11: JKPCC chief Tariq Hameed Karra has paid rich tribute to Dr Raj Kumar Thapa, a senior JKAS officer, presently posted as ADDC Rajouri, who was martyred on the line of duty.
In a message JKPCC president described Dr Thapa as a committed officer who rendered exemplary services to the people and the nation. He commanded great respect amongst the people for his dedication and public dealings. He shall be remembered for his dedication and sacrifice for the nation. He shared the grief of the family besides colleagues and described a great loss to administration and the society. He said Government should recognize his services and sacrifice for the nation.
Karra also paid rich tribute to Mohd Imtiyaz Sub Inspector of BSF and Subedar Major Pawan Kumar of Himachal, who attained martyrdom yesterday while serving the nation and defending the territory in Jammu region. He conveyed heartfelt condolences to the families and prayed for peace to departed souls, on behalf of entire rank & file of the party.
Senior Congress leaders today attended the cremation and paid rich tribute to former ADDC Dr Raj Kumar Thapa who was martyred in a shell attack at his official residence at Rajouri yesterday.
Former Deputy CM and working president Tara Chand, former Minister and working president Raman Bhalla, chief spokesperson Ravinder Sharma, former Minister Mula Ram, Gurbachan Kumari, former MLA Th Balwan Singh, Th Hari Singh Chib, former Minister Yash Pal Kundal, Adv Shah Mohammed Chaudhary, DDC TS Tony, Narinder Sharma, Gajan Singh, Ashok Bhagat, Sanjeev Panda, Neeraj Gupta, Rajveer Singh, Balbir Balli and several others attended the cremation.
Paying rich tribute to the martyr, former Dy CM and working president JKPCC described Dr Thapa as one of the best officers who served the people to best of his dedication, as he knew Dr Thapa personally. Dr Thapa had served as OSD to DyCM, when Tara Chand was was on this post, who paid best tribute to him and urged for suitably recognition of his services to the nation.
Working president Raman Bhalla also described him as very capable and dedicated officer who was always available to the common people for help. His martyrdom and dedication should be recognized by the Government suitably.
Chief spokesperson Ravinder Sharma while paying rich tribute to Dr Thapa said that he was a people friendly officer and commanded great respect amongst people.
The entire Congress leadership shared the grief of family members and prayed for peace to the departed soul.
