JAMMU, May 4: Police in Jammu’s Pallanwala village today claimed they have arrested an individual who was evading his arrest in a criminal case.
Liyaqat Ali of Raipur Mandi Bathera, Jammu, was absconding in connection with a case FIR number 107/2023 registered under the relevant sections of the law, a police official said.
According to him, a warrant under section 512 CrPC was also issued against the accused by the Court of Judicial Magistrate First Class (JMIC) Akhnoor.
“Acting on credible input, the warrant got executed yesterday with the arrest of the accused,” he said.
Post arrest, the accused was lodged in District Jail Ambphalla Jammu, added the police official.
