KATRA, May 2: Police arrested a drug peddler, here today and recovered 3.70 grams of heroin like substance from his possession.
The accused, namely Sunny Mehra, son of Parshottam Mehra, resident of Ward number 10, Panthal Katra, was apprehended by a patrolling party of Police Station Katra when he was going on foot from Searly towards Katra. During frisking, 3.70 grams of heroin was recovered from his possession.
In this regard, a case FIR under NDPS Act has been registered at P/S Katra and investigation was initiated to unearth the forward and backward linkages.
