KATRA, Apr 27: Police apprehended a drug peddler during night patrol in Katra and recovered intoxicant capsules from his possession.
The accused, identified as Mukesh Sharma (29), son of Krishan Chand of Kundra Dera Baba, Reasi, was intercepted by a police team of Police Station Katra.
Upon conducting a personal search and of his luggage bag, the police recovered 140 strips of Pregabalin Pregzara-300, each strip containing 10 capsules, from his possession, following which he was immediately arrested on the spot.
A case under relevant sections of law was registered against the accused and he was produced before the Court of EMIC Katra today.
