JAMMU, Apr 21: In a continued crackdown on illegal mining, Jammu South Police have seized five vehicles transporting construction material without the necessary permissions.
Police Post Belicharana intercepted and seized four heavy vehicles-two dumpers (JK21F 5282 and JK02CS 2469) carrying crushed stone (bajri), and two tippers (JK02CR 2514 and JK02DM 0969) loaded with sand. All were found operating without valid documents.
In a separate action, Police Post Chatha detained a tractor-trolley carrying sand without the mandatory Form A. The District Mineral Officer (DMO), Jammu, has been notified in all cases for further legal proceedings.
