SAMBA, Apr 20: Two youth were killed while another was injured in a tragic road accident on Jammu-Pathankot National Highway at Maheshwar Army area here, early this morning.
The trio were employees of a private company in Samba. They were returning after attending a marriage ceremony in Himachal Pradesh and after reaching Maheshwar Army area in Samba early this morning, their car collided with a stationary tanker resulting into the death of two inmates of the car including driver sitting on front seat and injury of another person who was sitting on back seat.

The deceased were identified as Bantu Dogra, a resident of Himachal Pradesh and Shubam Srivastav hailing from Uttar Pradesh. The injured person has been identified as Rakesh Kumar resident of Kishenpur Billawar in district Kathua.
Soon after getting information about the accident the police and emergency teams rushed to the spot and shifted the bodies for medico legal formalities. A case has been registered and investigation is underway to ascertain the cause of the accident.
The dead bodies have been kept in mortuary of District Hospital Samba while that of injured is undergoing treatment in District Hospital Samba and his condition is stated to be out of danger. Click here to watch video
Authorities have once again urged commuters to exercise caution while driving, especially during night hours on the Highway.
