JAMMU, Apr 20: J&K Pensioners and Senior Citizens Welfare Society of district Ganderbal convened a meeting today and appealed the Government to increase the Medical Allowance to Rs 1000/ per month in line with Ladakh and Central Government employees.
The meeting, which was chaired by Mir Ghulam Rasool Butwani chairman of the Society also requested for cessation of commutation after 10 years, following the pattern /orders of employees of other States nationwide.
The meeting also demanded release of 19 months wit held DA arrears from January 2020 to July 2021 accumulated during the Covid period. They further demanded regularisation of daily wagers and other employees working on adhoc or as work charge.
The meeting was addressed by Mir Ghulam Rasool Batwinee, president of the Society. Mohammad Sabhan Dar, Saparst of the district, Shaikh Noor Mohammed, district president, Ganderbal and Abdul Rehman.
