Samba police arrests 7 hardcore criminals, seizes weapons

JAMMU, Apr 19: Seven alleged hardcore criminals were arrested and sharp-edged weapons were seized in Samba district on Saturday, police said.
Police said the arrests were made near AIIMS Vijaypur by a team of Police Station (PS), Vijaypur after seeing the suspicious movement of criminals in a vehicle.
Police said an information was received through reliable sources at Police Station (PS) Vijaypur that seven persons namely, Yaqoob Ali @Yuka son of Bashir Ali of Sarore Bari Brahmana, Ismile @Bachu son of Lal Hussian of Rakh Barotian Vijaypur, Mohd Sain, son of Lal Hussian of Beli Charana district Jammu, Gazan Fer, son of Anayat Ullah of Doda, Murad Ali, son of Feroz Din of Malani at present Beli Charana, district Jammu, Mohd Iqbal, son of Lal Hussian of Manohar Gopalla Samba and Mohd Irfan, son of Mohd Hussian of Bathandi district Jammu with sharp edged weapons/tokas having criminal intension of eliminating the rival gang and are at present roaming in a vehicle Scorpio bearing Registration Number JK02CV-1312 at/around link road near AIIMS Vijaypur.
Police said all the criminals were planning to commit some heinous offences and were running an organized syndicate.
Acting over the information, a police team headed by SHO PS Vijaypur under the supervision of SDPO, Vijaypur and under the overall supervision of SSP Samba Virinder Manhas has arrested all the seven hardcore criminals along with four sharp edged weapons (Tokas). The vehicle Scorpio bearing Registration Number JK02CV-1312 has also been seized.
A case FIR No. 41/2025 U/S 111 BNS, 4/25 Arms Act has been registered at Police Station, Vijaypur and investigation started.
Police said that multiple criminal cases have been registered against them in different police stations of district Samba and other districts of J&K UT.
