JAMMU, Apr 18: Member Legislative Assembly (MLA), Bahu Assembly Constituency, Choudhary Vikram Randhawa, today flagged off a blacktopping work in Gandhi Nagar area.
A statement said that the project, aimed at boosting the road connectivity and improve civic amenities, is expected to ease daily travel, reduce damage to the vehicles, and ensure better connectivity for residents, businesses, and emergency services.
Several party leaders and workers, including Mandal President Rahul Kumar, Satvir Singh, Daljeet Singh, Bhushan Verma, Ritika Trehan, Rikki Gupta, Sandeep Gupta, Alok Mahajan, Vijay Verma, and Harshdeep, were present at the site to mark the beginning of the work, it said.
Speaking on the occasion, MLA Randhawa said that good roads are key to development and that the blacktopping work is part of a larger plan to make Gandhi Nagar a model constituency.
He assured residents that similar projects would soon begin in other areas in need of improvement.
Locals welcomed the move and praised the administration for responding quickly to public needs.
The ongoing development is part of a long-term plan to upgrade basic infrastructure and improve the overall quality of life in the area.
