BILLAWAR, Apr 16: Aimed to enhance connectivity and improve access to remote areas within the constituency, the MLA Billawar Satish Sharma today inaugurated the blacktopping work of a 2-kilometre road stretch from Ujj to Kalna, under the Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana (PMGSY).
The project, sanctioned at an estimated cost of Rs 1.80 crore.
Addressing on the occasion, Sharma reaffirmed his commitment to comprehensive development and said, “It is my earnest endeavour to make this constituency the foremost in Jammu & Kashmir, not only through infrastructural advancement but also by promoting economic self-reliance. I remain steadfast in fulfilling every promise made to the people.”
The inauguration ceremony was graced by the presence of Neeru Rajput, DDC Member; officials from the PMGSY department including the AEE and JE; along with distinguished dignitaries included Gopal, Amreek Singh and Vishal Singh.
This road project fulfills a long-standing demand of the local population and is expected to significantly benefit rural connectivity, ease of travel and socio-economic development in the area.
