UDHAMPUR, Apr 12: A young truck driver died after he slipped into deep gorge adjoining Dhar Road when he had gone for attending nature’s call at village Darsoo, here today.
Reports said that the dead body of Rattan Kumar (29), son of Shankar Kumar, resident of Mali, Tehsil and District Udhampur, was spotted this morning in village Darsoo in a gorge around 200ft deep, by some locals, who informed the Udhampur Police.
SHO Udhampur, Inspector Raghuvir Singh reached the spot along with FSL team and crime branch photographer. Later, the body was shifted to the mortuary room of Udhampur District Hospital.
According to the local people, the truck driver apparently had gone to attend call of the nature and slipped into deep ditch. Police have initiated inquest proceedings under 194 BNSS and started further investigations.
